The plan was to climb the Weisshorn via the Bishorn (4,151 m) along the north ridge and descend via the east ridge.
So far, so good, except for my crampon breaking on the Weisshornjoch.
Fortunately, since we were still in the lowest part of the north ridge, we were able to descend safely to the Tracuit Hut using one crampon.
This is a good example of how, despite good preparation and equipment, luck and bad luck, success and failure, can often be very close together.
